Discovering Los Santos

Screenshot ThumnbailLet’s start by looking at and overview of the whole city. You see 7 major suburbs. These are Palomino Creek in the north east, Mulholland in the central city, Market just south of Mulholland. You have Rodeo on the west coast line and Idlewood, Ganton and East Los Santos grouped together on the east coast of the city.

Palomino Creek

Palomino ChurchPalomino Creek is home to the bank where you can do your daily banking or go 'borrow' someone else’s but if you like doing this dirty business you better have a good escape route because the near by water won't save you. If you travel to the north east of Palomino Creek you'll find what people call Hanky Panky Point, a hot spot for young couples at night. You occasionally see a dirty old man there as well. Towards the south of Palomino Creek is the Church with a special drive-thru confession box.

Mulholland

Screenshot ThumnbailMulholland is located in the central city and is home to the rich and famous. Land marked by the famous VINEWOOD sign there is a Hollywood feel about the whole area. Take a stroll north and you come across the Vinewood Hills Mansion which is surrounded by even more wealth. Go take a tour of their houses, hold them at gun point and steal their valuables while making a quick getaway in their sports car of choice! In the centre of Mulholland you'll find the notorious Madd Dogg's crib. Check out criminal profiles for all the dirt on Madd Dogg. Hungry? Go grab a bite at Burger Shot. You might go bite into someone else because at Burger Shot they guarantee only the freshest human body parts such as face, genitalia and spinal column meat. They might even throw in a free ear!

The Market

Screenshot ThumnbailTravel south from Mulholland and you'll come across the Market, your big shopping and commercial centre. The most noticeable structure in Market is the Blastin' Fools Records building. Blastin' Fools are the leading Gangster Rap label in the world. The building towers, if I counted correctly, over 10 stories. Beside the Record building looks to be a construction site of some kind. South in the suburb you have Verona Mall which is spread out over massive area of land and is only one story. Looks like you can get a bike there too. You'll find places to eat and rob inside. Don't have a car? Need to get around? Jog on over to the Market Station and catch a train! It’s the perfect mugging spot as well. Also if you look around you will find other places such as what looks like to be a prison, a government centre, some sort of clinic and a hospital.

Rodeo

Screenshot ThumnbailRodeo is home to the famous Rodeo Hotel which towers over twelve storeys high. You'll find loads of celebrities and such staying here. Not sure if you can rob them though. Across the road is where all the mega-money people get their clothes. Some may call them clothes, others would call them cloth and rags. This place has a funny name but by all means not funny, Didier Sachs is the place to shop! Next door is a place called Victim, rival to Didier Sachs. Victim is another clothes shop where you can get a street yet professional style. Rodeo has a few high rises and loads of billboards. Have fun reading them all!

Idlewood

Screenshot ThumnbailOne of 3 suburbs put together in a block. Idlewood is like downtown except it is home to the Grove's rival gang, The Ballas. Idlewood is also home to your buddy's house. Smoke lives in Idlewood in a nice little shack on a block of six. See criminal profiles for more info on Smoke. Across the road on the other block are two places worth going to, the tattoo parlour and Reece's Barbershop. In the tattoo parlour you walk in and customize your tattoo. After getting your tattoo head across to Reece's for a half-decent haircut and yes it does cost you. Experiment with your own 'fro! It also looks like that good old Pay 'n' Spray is back. Across the road is a shop called Well Stacked pizza, yes it is the one you’re thinking of. Well Stacked Pizza Co. has been through the ages and is still alive and rocking. The number one place for fast food!

East Los Santos

Screenshot ThumnbailEast Los Santos is a gang battle field. The war, between Vagos, Ballas and Grove rages on to find out who has the right to control the basketball courts and skate park. Check out more info on the Vagos and Orange Grove Gang in the Gangs article. Within East Los Santos you have the famous basketball courts which are desired by many where you can shoot some hoops or shoot some rival gang members while you’re at it. On the other side of the suburb is the Pig Pen Strip Club where you can prove that you really are a gentleman. East Los Santos also looks like it has some nice parks and not many high rise apartments. It’s more peaceful if you disregard all the gang warfare though.

Ganton

Screenshot ThumnbailLast but not least is Ganton, home to the Grove Street Family. There’s not much here but Gangster’s houses and such. Residents are B-Dup, Sweet and OG. Check out criminal profiles for more info. Ganton is also home to the massive Ganton bridge.
