Parkable Helicopters

There have been methods of flying helicopters in Liberty City Stories for a while now, but none of which actually allowed the helicopter to be spawned in your garage. edisoncarter has been working with save game files of LCS for a while, and has made this possible.

I'll be able to do even more with this than I did in San Andreas, but first off, time to edit helicopters into garages.

Take2 Announces New Grand Theft Auto for PSP

Take 2 Games have released a financial update following the recent delays of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories on the PSP. They have announced that the game will be shipping from the start of Fiscal Quarter 2006 in parts of Europe due to unexpected delays in product testing and submission but has already been shipped to stores across the UK.

They also announced that a whole new GTA title will be coming to the PSP in 2006. Perhaps there is hope for Vice City Stories after all! Thanks to Neil for giving me the heads-up.

Liberty City Stories Cheat Codes Discovered

Over the past few days a chap by the name of Edison Carter has been busy discovering the cheat codes for Liberty City Stories on his PSP.

So far he has discovered thirty seven cheats including weapons, weather, money, armor and health cheats. You can check out a full list of them all on our Liberty City Stories cheats page.

Rockstar Custom Tracks Converter

Rockstar have released a tool that allows us to have a custom soundtrack in Liberty City Stories! This little program converts CD audio files into .gta files and loads them directly on to your GTA:LCS save game via USB connection.

This may sound cool but the tool only allows you to convert auido tracks from an official purchased CD. Burned CD and .mp3 files on your computer do not work. You also can not have the official game radio stations active with the custom tracks. You must turn off one to listen to the other.

GTA Underground at it again

Laz and Kuiosikle have been at it like a randy jack rabbits. Updating with all the GTA Liberty City Stories tidbits you could need. Whether you have the game or not, heading over to our friends at GTA-Underground to check it out is such a wise move, you'll thank us for it later. And keep checking, as they promise allot more.

Liberty City Stories Released!

Well today was finally the day that Liberty City Stories made it to stores across North America and eager gamers finally got their hands on a portable version of GTA after months of waiting.

A whole stream of new content and information has been released and you can expect a full update of the site tommorow evening. In the meantime check out this huge 5 minute video that was made by an unknown person. Thanks to Neil over at GTAPSP.COM for the video caps.

Official Liberty City Stories Site Updated

Rockstar let me know that the official website for Liberty City Stories has been updated this evening with a new trailer, screenshots and information on the other three multiplayer modes.

They have revealed the las three multiplayer modes to be The Hit List, Street Rage and The Wedding List. To accompany the update three new teaser sites have also been released; VIVISECTION, CrowFest '98 and PostMaster.

You can download the trailer in large quicktime, small quicktime, large windows media, small windows media and PSP formats. Also be sure to check out all the new screenshots in our gallery.

Liberty City Stories Featuring Game Sharing

Scooby over at the GTAPortable forums noticed today that the official listing for Liberty City Stories over at YOURPSP.COM had been updated to say that the game will include game sharing.

From what I can gather this means you will be able to play multiplayer modes with other players (within range) without them needing a copy of the game as well. Only one person in the multiplayer game needs a copy and the data will be shared between PSP's as it's needed. Pretty cool if they can pull it off well.

Weekend LCS Side Missions Bonanza

We've got two previews this weekend for you which both cover the side missions that will appear in Liberty City Stories. Fans will remember the tax, ambulance etc. missions from previous games, these were some of the side missions and there back to be played in your hands.

The first preview comes from Gamesradar in the UK. In the article they cover Karmageddon, Coodle Punk, Car Salesman and Insane Stunt Jumps. Accompanying the article was a set of five new digital screenshots which you can check out in our screenshots gallery.

IGN also got their hands dirty with the side missions and their article gives us details on the Avenging Angels, Scooter Shooter, Bike Salesman, See the signs before your flight and Insane Jumps. They've also got a whole bunch of new screenshots that you can check out in their gallery.

Liberty City Stories Past Week

So it's been a pretty hectic week at work and I've not had the time to post all the updates that have been happening and boy there's been alot!

First up, UK retailer Simply Games has advertised a limited edition version of the game which includes a 75 page hardback A5 book. We're not yet sure what the book is but it's definately not the official stratgegy guide which weighs in at over 200 pages.

Another UK retailer; Game have also let some details slip about the game on their listing. The description on their site describes the game as having over 60 storey-based levels. Obviously this isn't official confirmation but its pretty certain that the information is correct.

Five new screenshots were also released this week via French gaming site GameKult which you can check out in our screenshots gallery. There's also been an annoucement about the official theme tune; March Popakov Remix, written by John Cacavas and produced by Danger Mouse as well as a preview of the game by MTV Online.

The game is released in 3 days so expect lots more news over the next few days! Big thanks to GTAPSP.COM for keeping up with all the updates!
